Recorder Consent

What you're agreeing to as a vouch recorder.

Effective date: April 29, 2026

Who this applies to

You arrived here from a personal invite link sent by someone who wants to use Hey Cupid!. You are not a Hey Cupid! account holder. You don't need to create an account, and we don't keep any record of you beyond what's required to associate the vouch with the subject who invited you.

What you record

  • A short video — 1 to 2 minutes — about the person who invited you.
  • Recorded in your browser. No app to install.
  • Capped at 120 seconds; longer recordings are truncated client-side.

Where it's stored, who sees it

  • Stored on Amazon S3 in the United States; played back via signed URLs only.
  • Visible to Hey Cupid! account holders viewing the subject's profile.
  • Never made public. Never indexed by search engines. Never used in advertising.

How to delete it

When your upload completes, we email you a confirmation that includes a permanent deletion link. Click that link any time to remove your recording — no questions, no login. You can also email privacy@heycupid.dating and we'll find and delete the recording within 7 days.

What we don't do

  • We don't run face recognition, biometrics, or any AI inference on the recording.
  • We don't transcribe the audio.
  • We don't share your recording with anyone outside of the subject's profile viewers.
  • We don't follow up with marketing or fundraising emails to your address.

By tapping "Allow camera"

You confirm that (a) you're at least 18 years old, (b) you're voluntarily recording a statement about the inviting subject, and (c) you've read the section above on storage, visibility, and deletion. The browser will then ask for camera and microphone access — you can revoke either permission any time via your browser settings.
