Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. Hey Cupid! does not knowingly collect data from minors and rejects any account where verification indicates the user is under 18.
Acceptable use
- Be honest about your identity. Misrepresentation is grounds for permanent ban.
- Don't harass, threaten, or pressure other members.
- Don't share other members' information off-platform without consent.
- Don't attempt to evade moderation, verification, or trust-score systems.
- Don't scrape or attempt to extract data from the platform.
Trust score
Your trust score and tier are computed by Hey Cupid! using inputs from your activity and feedback from other members. The score is for relative trust signals — it is not a background check, a legal record, or a determination of character. Members are responsible for their own decisions about whom to meet.
Service scope and no guarantees
Hey Cupid! is a private dating platform built around verified video interactions. We provide tooling, moderation, and trust signals, but we do not guarantee outcomes, compatibility, identity perfection, or user conduct. You remain responsible for your own decisions, including any off-platform interactions.
Pricing and refunds
- $99 one-time activation. No subscription.
- Full refund within 14 days if you haven't completed a spark session. After that, no refund.
- Optional Spark Night passes: full refund if Hey Cupid! cancels; no refund for personal no-shows.
- Reactivation ($29) applies only if you self-paused as "seeing someone" for 90+ days. Waived after 6+ months.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or the safety guidelines. We provide an appeal path; appeals are reviewed by a different person than the one who issued the original action.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Hey Cupid! and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid to Hey Cupid! in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves or laws change. Material updates will be posted here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, communicated in-product or by email.
User-generated content (vouches)
Hey Cupid! lets your friends and family record short video vouches that appear on your profile. By uploading a vouch, the recorder grants Hey Cupid! a non-exclusive, revocable license to host and play back the recording to other Hey Cupid! members viewing the subject's profile — and only for that purpose. Recorders can revoke at any time via the deletion link in their confirmation email. Subjects can also remove vouches from their own profile. Biometric data
Identity verification involves biometric data (selfie + liveness payload, optionally a government ID). Use is limited to the verification decision; retention windows and disclosure rules are governed by the biometric data notice, which incorporates by reference the requirements of BIPA, CCPA/CPRA, and equivalent state laws.
